Our primary method in studying a particular topic is not the repetition of facts, but the nurturing of skills. We prefer to use each topic as a starting point for practice in critical thinking and independent work rather than as an end in itself. For the same reason, we stress the value of general knowledge, to enable the student to understand the world not as a series of isolated phenomena, but as a network of which he or she forms a part.
We attach great importance to the value of creative as well as academic skills; creativity, not as a separate entity, but as a way in which one relates to all that one does and a quality which enhances the type of thinking required in any learning situation.

The Henriette Hørlück School's international division certified by University of Cambridge (CIE) is limited to pupils whose first language is English or who have previously been taught in English at an international school. We offer English classes for grades 0-9, i.e. ages 5 to 15 years, at the appropriate level for each pupil. English classes are taught exclusively by native speakers.
All subjects other than English are taught in Danish as the pupils follow the Danish curriculum with the normal classes, including Science, Religion, History, Music, Physical Education, Danish and Mathematics.
Pupils are provided extra help to ensure a successful integration. When the pupil starts at the school, he/she will be given a thorough introduction to the Danish language and culture.

Kolding Realskole is a large Danish private school of 800 students. The International Department – The Cosmo - The International School of Southern Denmark is a recognised Cambridge International Examinations Centre and provides an English language based education for students aged five to sixteen.
The Cosmo is a multicultural school with students that come from as far away as South Korea, Germany, Morocco, England, Canada, Vietnam, Argentina, Colombia and the U.S.A as well as from Denmark. The department is growing rapidly.

The International School of Als, ISAls, is a department of the Privatskolen Als in Soenderborg. We cater primarily for English speaking students and Danish students wanting to learn in English. At present we have 25 students ranging from the ages of 6-16. We have two classes, the primary year class from ages 6-11 and the middle year class from ages 12-16. We are a multicultural school with students that come from as far away as China, India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and the U.S.A as well as from England, Germany and Denmark. All students at our school have to learn Danish and have to be integrated into Danish Society as best they can.
